Pokémon Heroes is a 2002 Japanese animated fantasy film. It is the fifth film in the Pokémon series and the first to use digital ink and paint. The film was released in Japan on July 13, 2002.
The film is about two thieves who steal a giant jewel from an island city. The jewel was once used to protect the canal city of Altomare. The film focuses on the main characters, Ash, Misty, and Brock, as they continue their journey through the Johto region. The main location of the film is based on Venice, Italy.
